New DCC Finance Announced

On behalf of the Council Key 3, I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Christensen as the Deputy Council Commissioner of Finance for the New Brunswick Council – Scouts Canada. 

Katie’s appointment will be for a one year term, renewable for a maximum of three years commencing December 22, 2017.

Katie has enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews experience new adventures through Scouts. She understands the importance of developing youth leadership skills and building self confidence which will serve them well in their future personal lives and careers.

Professionally, Katie is a Manager at a local accounting firm in Fredericton where she has worked for the past 9 years. She holds a Chartered Professional Accountants designation and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with Honours in Accounting and a Minor in Economics from the University of New Brunswick. She enjoys working on many projects but really enjoys working with not-for-profit and charitable organizations as well as small businesses. She also enjoys travelling the Caribbean with her husband of 7 years, Trevor.
